Horses for sale

We sometimes have amazing driving horses for sale. All of our horses are well-trained; most are used for students and can be fine with a few months off and still drive very mannerly when hitched again. Even though our horses are well-trained, they need their driver to be well-trained too. We won’t sell our horses to anyone unless they come here to try them out first. We want our clients to be happy with their purchase and we want our horses to be happy with their new human. Please note that while most of our horses have been ridden, we are primarily a driving facility and do not work on their riding abilities.

Alex has traveled to the Waverly Midwest Horse Sale in Iowa twice a year for the past 34 years. He knows many of the breeders and trainers, which gives him a behind-the-scenes, honest look at the horses for sale, as well as leads on horses not listed in the sale catalog. He has been successfully commissioned to find horses for pleasure, farm, and commercial business.

Let him know what you want, and he will try to buy the right horses for you.

Bill and Jay

For sale, a very nice, well-broke, quiet team of Dapple Grey Percheron geldings. Standing around 16.2 hands tall, they are five years old in 2025. This team would make a great farm or feed team, guest ranch team, or for a dude string. We think they have been ridden, but we don’t know to what extent.

Tim and Tom Sold

Tim & Tom are a very nice team of black Percheron geldings. Approx. 16.2 hands tall. They are traffic-broke, and they ride and drive as a pair or single on either side. They have been on all farm machinery and driven through town. They are quiet, gentle, easy to shoe, and catch. They are the same quiet team, even if you don’t drive them for a year. The people we bought them for can’t keep them, so they decided to sell. The horses were sold to a good home.

Dot and Sierra - Sold

Dot and Sierra are a beautiful team of Percheron/Morgan cross mares, standing 16 hands tall. We bought these horses for a client in 2019, but he didn’t get to drive them as much as he had hoped. He loves them but says they are too good to be pasture pets. So he asked us to find a perfect home for them. They were very well trained, but it has been a few years since they were last driven.  We are not selling them as

Sold to a good home.
